February Favorites

February was a hot mess!

But not just for me, so I don’t feel as bad.

Emotional breakdowns filled with college midterm standards, figuring out where I want to take my college career. Enough to drive a sane woman crazy!

But like any woman, I cope with stress with shopping… okay… and eating my pain away. This month I did not do as much damage as I could have to trust me!

I’ve been focusing on self-love this month and pampering myself. Whether it’s a long-awaited midnight snack that disregards my diet or long bubble baths. I am here for it.

Keep in mind that I may receive commissions when you click on links and make purchases. However, this does not impact my reviews and comparisons. I try my best to keep things fair and balanced, in order to help you make the best choice for you.

Here are my February monthly favorites…

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub

Tree hut shea sugar scrub is amazing!! No, like for real. Coming from a girl who has tried much time to make her own sugar scrubs this is a must-have.

It’s a light scrub and doesn’t leave your skin completely dry after each use. Paired with Jergens Ultra Healing lotion my skin is looking pretty darn good.

Freeman Charcoal Black Sugar Scrub

Speaking of scrubs, freeman freeing charcoal & black sugar polishing mask is another monthly favorite that is gentle for any face and budget. True to their slogan “pollution, debris, it’s a wonder skin can breathe!”, it helps absorb oil and impurities without drying out your skin. I can attest to this, well my nose can. Seems like the only place on my face where I can fry chicken nuggets on it at any given moment of the day. I yearn for the night-time to unwind, waiting for the seven minutes of magic to happen.

Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Refresher Spray

The change between seasons is when my hair becomes the driest. Lucky me, I came across Carol’s Daughters Hair Milk Refresher Spray, it is saving my hair. A few quick sprays in the morning makes my hair hydrated and shiny. It works for curls, coils, kinks & waves, satisfying every hair type.

And can we talk about the smell? Not sure if it comes from the Agave Nectar or Sweet Almond Oil, but the heavenly smell has won me over. The smell resembles the fragrance of a babies’ night time bath. Soothing and not harsh at all.

Vaseline w/ cocoa butter

Along with my dry hair, my skin has been awfully dry as well. More so my hands than anything. Vaseline Cocoa Butter has been the remedy to my hand therapy. At night I apply a healthy amount to my hands later wrapping them in a pair of socks to lock in the moisture.

Drop Dead Diva

To top my night off with the ultimate treat for relaxation I binge watch Drop Dead Diva on Netflix until I fall asleep. I know, I know. You shouldn’t be watching television before you fall asleep. It’s bad for your eyes and health. The show is worth it. A wannabe model [Deb] dies and is reincarnated as a curvier attorney [Jane] who is the opposite of what Deb was before. Despite the many people Jane encounters on a daily only her best friend [Stacy] and guardian angel knows of the switch between the two. I am currently on Season 4 Episode 8… only two more seasons!

There you have it, February monthly favorites. A time for renewing hair, skin, nails, and the mind. All this renewing is making for a better month in March. Until next time…
